Next week in Coronation Street, Rover returns.
Yes, Steve's dog Rover (aka Boo Boo) does a runner from his owner to return to the Rovers and back into Steve's life.
On Wednesday night 26th August, we'll see Steve over the moon when Rover the dog turns up at the pub again. Liz has a change of heart about Rover and so Steve proudly declares
himself as the dog's owner.
Did you know that Simon Gregson's real pet Cookie the dog plays Rover the Coronation Street dog?

Yeah! Count me in as a huge Rover/Cookie fan!
Me, too! She's the one lady in Steves life who is always happy to see him and never crosses her arms and sneers.
It would be a good time for Corrie to highlight the use of dogs in therapeutic situations. Dogs are used in treating depressing, anxiety, PTSD, etc. Would be a good social commentary...
'Rover returns.'
Best addition to Corrie this year!
Sorry but I disagree. Corrie is first, last and always an entertainment. Not a public information film.
The writers should really find a way to keep Steve and Rover together. Adds some innocent humour and sensitivity to all the drama.
I agree with you!
