Toyah, played by Georgia Taylor, has been asked to return to Corrie by the "soap's new boss" says the Mirror.
However, the story then goes on to report lots of "could" and "would" so it doesn't seem like it's done deal after all that she is returning.
It also repeats quotes from Georgia Taylor from the past saying she'd like to return, and quotes from Jane Danson as Toyah's on-screen sister Leanne Battersby who has also said in the past she'd like Toyah to return.
So, there you have it. A non-story but wouldn't it be great if it came true? I'd love Toyah back. What do you think?

I would like to see Toya return but only for a short visit/storyline. I dont think it would be credible for her to return now that Janis has gone and St Ella is mummy dearest.
I'd like to see Toyah remind Leanne that Janice is her mother not this drip of a woman behind the bar. Leanne does need a pal, though, and Kylie might fit that bill. She could be a surrogate younger sister and Leanne could fill in for Becky.
There's a report already on Digital Spy that a 'show spokesperson' says there's no truth whatsoever to the story.
She is an unemployed soap actress who has only ever done corrie & casualty. It's only a matter of time before she comes begging. I would love to see her back. I think she is a good actress and would fit in. She would certainly have a lot to say about Leanne calling St Ella "Mum".
As I said in the blog post - it's a non-story. Glad that ITV have confirmed this to Digital Spy.
Toyahs rape scenes were some of the best acted in the shows history. Toyah would be a great character to return if only to see the feathers fly in the rovers!- Micky
Didn't Toyah go off with Spider Nugent? Perhaps she can return with him and child in tow. It is about time Emily was involved.
She would be mad to return. There would be "explosive" secrets from her life away from the Street; she would have an affair with Peter, kidnap Simon and accidentally run Nick through with a kebab skewer. All in her first month.
She would never be a bright, successful career woman. She'd end up sewing knickers.
She does seem to be a beloved character and it's interesting that folk like her and Spider don't return to the cobbles for filler storylines instead of the other people we've seen, or ignored, or wondered why they were there.
Love to see both Toyah and Spider back so Emily can have an extended family and boot out the weasel Norris!
