Corrie weekly awards: Oct. 31 - Nov. 4
A right bimbo?
Cheeky award: Fiz asking Chesney to make John's funeral arrangements. Far as I know John's parents are still alive.
Part of the problem not the solution award: Jeff willing to pimp Rosie's story to the tabloids for publicity.
Party from the Twilight Zone: Lots of young people. Scandalous headlines. Mum and Dad. Rita and Emily?
Out on a limb award: Carla's teetering on the edge of bankruptcy trying to undercut the competition.
Stick the knife in award: Sally smugging it all over the Rovers after Carla shut the factory.
Benedict Arnold award: Traitor star: Izzy and Julie working for the enemy.
Career fail award along with Dirty Laundry award: I think it's time Rosie rethink her career. She's not too good with publicity is she?
Head in the Sand award: Anna avoiding telling Faye about Owen. Carla running away. Chesney's not paying the bills.
Fashion Accessory of the week: Julie's red hair thingy.
Lines of the Week:
Carla to Nick "It's the best thing you ever did, getting out of women's underwear"
Kirk "Frogs don't march. They hop" Sean "Returning to our dimension...." (Earth to Kirk!)
Ciaran "How long does post traumatic head clearing take these days"
Sian "You made me sound like a right bimbo" Rosie "You say that like it's a bad thing!"
And this is Emily not giving them the satisfaction of reading that trash!

Loved Emily's scene on Friday! Shows how Eileen Derbyshire's talents are wasted in favour of the young. Just subtle comedy not slapstick!
Frosty's Awards
Fantastic Suntans Award: Wow! Peter and Leanne certainly got great looking sun kissed tans from Cornwall in late autumn! Who needs Barbados when you can go to Bude.
Bring up your dinner award: Chris swaggering around with his top off after having bedded Cheryl – JUST SLING IT! You deserve each other you awful pair.
Timeline award: Whilst Sophie’s party was in full swing and it was dark, Simon randomly rings Peter and asks to go to the Red Rec instead of playing poker with Kieran in the pub – eh? I thought Peter was sneaking off to meet Carla again but her Ladyship has suddenly gone off to LA with no notice whatsoever, that mate of hers must be mighty accommodating as the airline, visas etc.
Creepoid Award: Jeff has suddenly turned around from being a caring decent bloke – if a tiny bit boring – into a money grubbing sleazy creep. Why bother to get him and SallyS back together just for this stupid outcome?
Formal introductions award: How many boozers have you gone into when the barmaid has shaken your hand?, Stella does it all the time and did it with Michelle and Kieran – are you going for a drink or a business meeting? Very odd.
Richard Branson/Alan Sugar/Donald Trump Award: These millionaire business brains have nowt on ex pub singer and part time barmaid Michelle Connor who breezes in and takes over and runs Carla’s knicker empire single handed, of course turning it around into a fantastic profit making success again. Frankly laughable (no pun intended).
Pointless character of the week award: Faye. Now that Eddie has gone – what is the point of this strange little girl. Get rid of her and let Anna have a life and storylines without her hanging around.
Leg of Ham Actor Award: Now I know a lot of the ladies like Kieran and I don’t think he is a bad bloke but Keith Duffey’s “acting” is quite appalling and not in keeping with our favourite soap. The sooner he goes back to his middle aged man band the better. He seems to have returned wearing his dad’s teeth as well.
Yes it was dark when Simon wanted to go to the Red Rec. It was bonfire night so there would be fireworks and stuff!
Carla did mention she was surprised she was able to get a flight.
Rita and Emily were so good at that party. Emily's face when Kevin and Jeff were locking horns was a picture and the way she settled down to read the paper was a joy. Barbara Knox's delivery of the line: "at least you don't have to worry about Sophie getting pregnant" was really funny.
Sally Dynevor was excellent too. Sally Webster was at her worst, being hardnosed at Frank's and worrying about her daughters "showing her up". Yet, I still like to watch her, because she is so real. I hope her sacking from the Factory allows her character to develop away from being a mum or a wife/girlfriend.
No-one got robbed, raped or murdered. Friday's episodes were mostly about small family/neighbour/employment conflicts laced with some humour. Even the dire Chris/Cheryl scenes did not seem so bad in these episodes. I hope it continues.
Hypocrite Sally getting all bent out of shape about her family business being in the local rag...as if nobody knew. Ha. Also..why was she so stroppy to Jeff who knew just how to get publicity for Rosie - air your dirty linen in public! I guess this is the end of Jeff which leaves the door open for Kevin.I had a good laugh as Kevin tried to manhandle Jeff - grabbing his collar etc while yelling in his face..what is he..2 feet shorter than the other actor? Like a fly trying to swat an elephant!!
What a nerve of that Faye wanting to know what was in Anna's mail, but I'm most surprised at Gary for going along with her and opening it, and not a word from Anna, highly irregular.
Is Faye supposed to represent kids today?
Being fair to Faye, she could see the letter was from Social Services and would have been what they'd been waiting for re the adoption.
I love Sally Webster! I think she's a wonderful character!
I'm not keen on Faye either though I think opening the letter was just a device leading up to her silly trick on Owen. Sally Webster is a brilliant multi-faceted character. I hope they let her eventually decide she can make it without men for a while.
Sally was magnificent on Friday, and Kevin was hilarious! He should be put on a leash!
Ciaran's teeth are glow-in-the-dark!
My heart is breaking already for Lloyd...
Frosty .....LOL Kieran came back with his Dad's teeth! I noticed they looked odd too...not quite what he left with. Oh-Oh looks as if Sally really is not happy with Soph-ay being a lesbian now that she wants to marry and let the world know! How about the 'Most annoying return of an actor who suddenly can't act!' ....Amber is awful...should keep Sian and let her go.
