There's three characters returning to Coronation Street. And so, for those (like me) who have been out of the loop for some time Corrie-wise (I've been moving house, so forgive me if this seems like old news to some!) here we go to confirm three old faces who are returning to Corrie in the next week or so, says Inside Soap magazine.
1. Todd Grimshaw played by Bruno Langley. Todd returns for a one-off Easter Corrie special with his new, posh boyfriend Jools in tow. There's tension for Todd when he comes up against some old faces in the Rovers who remind him of things that have happened in the past. So that's probably Gail having a dig at him, then? Also Todd and Jason have a public scuffle in the middle of the street with Jason in his dressing gown. Brilliant stuff.
2. Marcus Dent, played by Charlie Condou. It's a happy moment when Sean and Marcus get reacquainted in London. Both men are ready to forgive and forget and move on with their life together and they take little Dylan on a fun day out in London in an episode to be shown on Easter Sunday.
3. James Cunningham played by James Roache. Ken has a lot of respect for his grandson James but gets carried away and suggests he moves in with him, Deirdre, Tracy and Amy at Number 1. James is happy to have some contact with Ken after no longer being on speaking terms with his dad Laurence, played by Linus Roache. Should be fun. I wonder if Tracy will flash her womanly charms at James?

Odd isn't it - that the returnees are all gay! But I'm looking forward to James' return.
I'm looking forward to seeing James interacting with the wider Barlow clan! It'll be interesting to see what story they have for him during his stay.
Gonna be crowded at Ken's house again.
Agree with Llywela; I think it would be interesting to see some conflict between James and Peter (we haven't seen much Peter for a while).
Another one to share the bathroom in the morning at the Barlow's Tardis!
It'll be interesting to have a new Barlow on the cobbles
I reckon, from what we saw of James, that he and Peter share a similar sense of humour and might actually get along well, given half a chance...but whether Peter will want to give James that chance is another matter entirely!
When Lawrence and James were around before, the storyline gave some really interesting insight into the complex relationships among the Barlow men, so it would be nice to see that delved into again.
There might not be as much of a rivalry between Peter and James as they are nephew and uncle, where brothers might have been more conflicting, esp. with Laurence's more conservative values.
Oh yes, my bad, was thinking that they were (half) brothers, but yep, it was Laurence Peter had conflict with.
Judging from the photos available in the Corrie spoilers on Digital Spy for next week, Violet and Jamie are also putting in an appearance again!
Peter's issue wasn't so much with Lawrence as his half-brother, but with Ken's attitude toward both Lawrence and James, which is why he might not be thrilled to see his dad falling over himself to welcome James again this time. I still reckon that Peter and James would probably get on well, once they got to know one another, but...well, time will tell, I suppose.
