The interview is quite good, with Charlie's view on his years on Coronation Street, mostly being great. He says that Simon Gregson puts in a gruelling schedule and he thinks everyone does a bang up job on Corrie but reckons acting as a business is getting a bit too serious for him. He spends a lot of his time with his wife on their farm in Cheshire where he describes life as having a lot less bull**** (I guess he doesn't raise cattle, then!)
He is amused at the Facebook campaign to free Jim McDonald but doesn't think the producers really take that sort of thing seriously.
Will he return as Big Jim someday? Well he quips "Let's not forget we are in Never Never Land and Tracy Barlow suddenly appeared after being found guilty of murder. Bobby Ewing could leap out of that shower, you never know." Will Liz return? He and I have the same opinion on that, I wish Beverley very well. But she's a bit of a homing pigeon so I wouldn't write her off.

does he explain why he became more and more Irish - so he did, than he was when he first joined Corrie - so he was, there you go, see you dead on?
It is quite an interesting interview. When watching Carla, I have often wondered whether Alison King complains about the script, but maybe I am confusing the actress with her feisty character.
I would bet a lot of money that Charlie Lawson had a conversation with Collinson along the lines of:
"But Jim would never be so impulsive as to rob a bank, so he wouldn't. Why can't he and Liz have a happy ending?"
"Charlie, Luvvie. The audience don't want happy endings. That's so 90s. They want drama, hostages, characters a few fries short of a happy meal!"
"I don't think they want Never Never Land, so they don't"
"Now, Phil knows best. Run along and don't bother me any more".
"You are treating me like a kid, so you are...."
Soap stars moaning about gruelling schedules make me mad. They may be "at work" for 75-80 hours, but a lot of the time they are waiting around for equipment to be set up or other scenes to be shot. A large proportion of their "work" is drinking tea, chatting to colleagues, reading magazines and learning lines for future episodes.
They also have regular long breaks to "recover". Dev and Sunita have hardly been seen since the tram crash and Kirk has only just re-appeared after what seems like months away.
If 72 year old Bill Roache, 78 year old Barbara Knox and 90 year old Betty Driver can cope, then the moaners should either quit whining or quit the show and go work in a Call Centre.
I think he needs to catch himself on, so he does, and stop moaning. The 'bosses' gave him a job and it's disgraceful how all he can do is bloody whinge.
Hope he is better that shoveling much than he is at acting. Its a bit annoying how they can moan, maybe the producers shouldnt invite him back ever for more guest stints if he feels that way.
