There's a Coronation Street spoiler in today's Sunday People which reckons there's going to be a homophobic storyline involving Ken Barlow, played by William Roache.
Linus Roache (William Roache's real-life son) turns up on Corrie as Ken's homophobic son Lawrence with his gay son James (William Roache's other real life son!)
But Ken's dream of playing happy families is dashed by a feud between homophobic Lawrence and James.
Linus, 46, has been in Corrie before in 1975 he played Ken's son Peter when he was 11.

I wonder if there is gay man (or men even) that will lose their life because of this ill-conceived storyline. Too late to express regret if it happens. Shame on you Phil Collinson, you of all people should know better.
If it is dealt with rightly, it might not be ill-conceived.
I believe the story will be done well, Phil wont be doing this for ratings, he's raising a very big issue. I dont believe that Phil would want to insult gays or promote homophobia, if anything, he will damn it and show just how out of place that kind of talk is
I also think it'll be done well and used to highlight how ugly homophobia is.
And Phil Collinson is gay as well isn't he, so I'm sure the storyline will be dealt sensitively and succesfully.
Corrie needs a good gay storyline anyway. Hopefully it will be handled as well as Emmerdale has done their recent gay themed story.
Is it not a bit weird for brothers to be playing father and son?
James is quite a bit younger than Linus, so much so that they could more easily be father and son than brothers
I'm really quite impressed with this storyline. Homophobia is ugly and destroys lives. Within families, it can be devastating.
I have no doubt it will highlight just how vile and unacceptable it is.
I think it will be a very good storyline and i know it will be handled well. I'm with you Annie.
Poofters of the world unite !!!! There is no longer room in this world for purveyors of hate and prejudice.
