CARLA’S TRUST BEGINS TO PETER OUT In hospital, a groggy Peter insists he has no idea what happened but he hadn’t been drinking. Carla doesn’t believe a word. Lucas arrives asking after Peter but Carla’s stunned when he suddenly asks her to return to Devon with him. Carla can’t believe his timing but when Steve urges her to jump at the offer as Peter’s an incurable drunk, will Carla be swayed?
TODD MAKES A DISCOVERY ABOUT RHYDIAN Rhydian dazzles Sean with his swanky lifestyle and insists he’s capable of the same success. Sean’s flattered. But when Todd reveals that Rhydian’s just leased a flash car for a few days and is passing it off as his own to fool mugs like Sean, Eileen agrees to talk to him.
THE HOUNDS OF LOVE HUNT ALINA AND TYRONE Alina’s hurt by Seb’s indifference when she explains that her family dog in Romania has died. When she bursts into tears in the street, Tyrone’s sympathetic and tells Alina about his own dog Monica. When Sarah objects to her taking time off work due to the death of a pet, Tyrone sticks up for a grateful Alina.
ELSEWHERE Debbie offers to host Kevin and Abi’s wedding for free at one of her hotels. Kevin’s touched but Abi turns her down. Corey’s aghast to realise that Asha is seeing Nina.

PETER’S FEELINGS TOWARDS STEVE ARE SOBERING Peter begs Carla not to give up on them, but she’s adamant she can’t spend the rest of her life like this. They’re interrupted as the consultant explains that Peter hadn’t been drinking and his disorientation was caused by toxins arising from his liver failure. Carla begs Peter’s forgiveness but he orders her not to stay with him out of pity, but to do what will make her truly happy. What will Carla decide? A sheepish Steve regrets his treatment of Peter. Ken’s appalled and when Tracy tries to defend him, Ken tells them to find somewhere else to live.
SEAN REALISES HE’LL HAVE TO FAKE IT TO MAKE IT Rhydian insists he can afford to own any car he wants but prefers leasing so he can keep updating. Sean’s taken aback when Rhydian praises his talent and asks him to co-host his next recruitment seminar. As Sean shows Todd the sports car that Rhydian’s leased for him. Todd despairs.
ALINA IS IN PUPPY LOVE WITH TYRONE In the pub, Seb attempts to sympathise over Alina’s dog. He’s intrigued when she lets slip to Todd and Emma that she has her eye on someone.
ELSEWHERE Corey’s sickened that Asha has replaced him with Nina. Insulting both girls he slams out. Asha’s pleased to be rid of him. Kevin tells Debbie they’d like to discuss marrying at her hotel. Abi warns Debbie she’s only keeping Kevin happy and doesn’t trust her.

Who dreamed up the pairing of Tyrone and Alina? Presumably the same writers who matched Tina and Graeme. They even contrived for the pair to randomly meet up in the Rovers, where Tyrone accidentally offered her a room! I seem to remember Martin Platt and Kevin Webster suddenly embarking on exercise regimes with much younger women as a prelude to an affair, and Peter Barlow deciding that Tina, whom he barely knew, was the ideal candidate to walk Simon to school everyday, even though Simon was well past the stage of needing a chaperone.
Please give us some credit.
