Jenny Connor will be getting a new family member on Coronation Street but it's someone we "know nothing about".
In an interview today with The Mirror, Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny talks about her 50th birthday and tackling 50 charity runs.
And she says this about her character on the cobbles: "Jenny is going to have a family member join the show, someone the audience knows nothing about.”

Love Jenny but please not another 'secret' family member.... why does every character on the show have a long lost relative they know nothing about... already too many characters to deal with.
Or a storyline like Liz and her baby Katie coming back but it's really a scam.
I predict a sibling she hadn't known about. Son of Alan Bradley perhaps?!
As long as they keep her a Connor
Of course it's going to be something we know nothing about - we can't know every relative of every resident on the street. I say bring it on, love Jenny!
Would love if it was her grandma!
I hope it's an auntie, an older actress in the same league as Maureen Lipman, who will cross swords with Rita, Jenny's surrogate mum. A mad idea occurs to me - Miriam Margolyes. Bossy, funny, outrageous. A brief stay but long enough to cause havoc. Not too OTT. We had that with Stella's mother and it really didn't work.
I mean, Alan Bradley was a bit of an old tart, so it wouldn't be unbelievable for there to be a half-brother or sister somewhere.
Alternatively Mark Eden is still with us and still married to Dame Sue Nicholls so maybe he's making a shock comeback!
Jeanie (anon): I'm guessing another child--born much earlier than the one that passed away as a child. Second choice would be a sibling. Love Jenny too!
Jenny is one of the best characters, I love her, and she deserves more stories... But another surprise relative ploy? *sigh*
