Assistant Grip x 2 – Coronation Street, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
ITV
is the biggest commercial television network in the UK. Behind every
famous ITV face, there are hundreds of others, all doing their bit to
make things happen. Coronation Street is the world's longest-running TV
Serial Drama currently in production, and our Grip team is a big part of
that!
We are looking for two Assistant Grips to join our fast
paced environment here at ITV Studios, to assist with organising and
undertake the transport, rigging/erecting and de rigging of camera
cranes and dollies and other associated grip equipment in a safe,
efficient and professional manner.
We will look to you to lay
tracks for camera dollies and cranes, assist in the studios rigging
cameras, monitors and cabling in a safe efficient manner, assess any
risk associated with using grip equipment and eliminating or reducing
that risk to an acceptable level. You will be responsible for first line
maintenance and cleaning of grips equipment and cable management
constantly maintaining a safe working environment.
Our Assistant
Grips will be reactive, adaptable and organised, with a hands on
approach, they will be strong team players and always prepared to go the
extra mile. Previous background of working as a grip in either TV or
Film is essential, you should be Health and Safety trained preferably to
IOSH level.
Here on Coronation Street, we are a tight knit,
established team and we are now looking for ideal candidates who work
well in a collaborative and open working environment. So if you’ve got
the skills and experience we’re looking for and you and thrive in a fast
paced environment where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear
from you. You will also be required to drive grip equipment vans up to
3.5T so a driving licence and an NVQ Diploma for Technical Grips is
advantageous.
This role is based in Manchester but some travel
will be required due to the location element of the role. Due to the
nature of the Production absolute confidentiality is required.
