It's Friday again so it's time for this week's fab Coronation Street
photo. This week we have a picture from the 1970s with the cast of Coronation Street turning on the Blackpool Illuminations.

Actually it's 1982, because Veronica Doran, who played Eddie Yeats girlfriend and later wife Marian appears. It can't be 1983 because Doris Speed appears and by Christmas 1983 she was ill from the show.
From left to right: Chris Quinten (Brian); Helen Worth (Gail); Veronica Doran (Marian); Lynne Perrie (Ivy); Jack Howarth (Albert); Bryan Mosley (Alf); William Roache (Ken); Fred Feast (Fred); Doris Speed (Annie); Johnny Briggs (Mike); and Liz Dawn (Vera) :)
Our records show that it is 1983. The switching on is usually done in September and as Annie's last appearance was mid-October, this is possibly just days before Doris Speed fell ill.
