Over the next few weeks, the ITV Coronation Street website is doing a daily Christmas countdown. They'll be showing classic clips of and teasers and trivia about Corrie Christmases.
As it is the last Christmas for the Croppers this year, today they've got a photo of their first Christmas together in 1998.

The blog's top ad from Inside Soap screams out "Christmas Day shocks on the Street!" Just musing how nice it would be to see "A fun and loving day for the residents of the Nation's favourite Street!" I know, impossible and I'm probably completely in the minority. Your lovely photo of Roy and Hailey inspired that thought in me.
It would be great to see a day with no aggro, stress, 'shock', sadness or violence.
Just old-fashioned fun or at the very least some banter between relaxed characters. Perhaps that' 'too old-fashioned'for these times.
No no it would be brilliant!! Some sort of big Christmas day event attended by all the cast, maybe a double wedding for Kirk/Beth & Chesney/Sinead!! Fun characters having a ball & the whole street pulling together, surely not too much to ask for just one day!!
