ITV1's announcer labelled tonight's episode as "the storm before the carnage". In some ways it was but in others, it was Corrie at its ordinary, everyday best. Obviously we we were presented with scenes of high drama - a couple in the throws of a marriage break up, a deranged woman planning Christmas Day and a missing child. Amongst this though we witnessed Tina mundanely moving from one back street job to another, Claire's attempts to make Weatherfield speak French and Ciaran working on his best man's speech. Tonight's episode was Corrie at its most reassuring. There have been tantalising moments throughout this week. Who noticed the sound of the tram in the background of many scenes or Carla's arch comment that "a lot can happen in a week".
There we are then. All ready and set to go for next week's rollercoaster ride into horror. Will Corrie ever be the same again? How are we all going to feel by next Friday? It's going to be a week to remember!

Thats the last time we will see Corrie the same way again, which could be good or bad who knows :/.Ohwell still really excited about next week!
I can hardly wait - and we're a good year behind. Should I have the full effect of the horror by shutting my laptop down, walking away and waiting THAT long? Or should I just check in again tomorrow? Ummm....tough call...wonder what I'll do? ;-)
Corrie "will never be the same again" - much like "the end of the Queen Vic as we know it" after the fire. Come on, let's get a grip - it's all TV executive hyperbole.
It's a big set piece, but it'll be old news by New Year.
yeah fair point about the queen vic thing. i suppose it depends who dies.
I won't post anything here but on the Daily Mail website there are some pictures of the crash's aftermath showing several characters unconscious. Just three days to go...can't wait...
