There's a Corrie special supplement in the Manchester Evening News - a real-life, proper
Weatherfield Gazette! This unique 32-page 50th Anniversary commemorative edition Weatherfield Gazette will be published on quality newsprint covering the street's history right up to the present day with special features including:
- A look back at the start with the show's creator Tony Warren
- Interviews with Bill Roache, Barbara Knox, Sue Nicholls, Helen Worth & Sally Dynevor.
- Features on the nation's favourite families and stars of the show
- Features on the Street's villains - the characters you love to hate
- Deirdre & her men, Ken & his women
- And much, much more
The MEN also
reports that 'confused' Corrie fans have been ringing in to the Manchester Metrolink asking about the derailment and delays on the tram line. It is thought that ITV's spoof news broadcast after the show – watched by more than 14m viewers – may also have confused some people.
Er, get a grip, people. We all love Corrie, but IT'S NOT REAL!

The manchester Evening News is available throughout the North West of England and along the North Wales coastal towns. It used to be available in London at Euston Station but on recent visits it appears that they no longer sell regional newspapers there.
Gutted i don't live in Manchester. Anyone know if it's possible to get a copy anywhere.
You can order a copy of the Weatherfield Gazette online for delivery anywhere in the world. Follow Nora's link or go straight to: http://bit.ly/hHRQcB
I've got my copy :-p One page twice states that Corrie didn't start until 1961. Slapped wrists for them - don't they realise that when we are celebrating the 50th anniversary that means it must have started in 1960. Doh!
Thanks , have just ordered it :)
