The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Tyrone’s mum Jackie Dobbs dies.
Tyrone tells Fiz he would like them to get back together and they plan a romantic dinner but Tyrone is shocked when there is a knock at the door and it is the police. Fiz arrives at no. 9 to find a devastated Tyrone, his mum is dead. Tyrone tells Fiz that he always hoped his mum would change and come good. Fiz consoles him as he sobs and then she and Tyrone finally get back together.
Then Brian babysits for Hope and Ruby. He’s impressed by their exemplary behaviour. Unbeknown to him, the girls are convinced he’s Father Christmas.

I don't really want Fiz and Ty to get back together - she doesn't deserve him. No future return for Margi Clarke then.

I always enjoyed Jackie's returns every so often - too bad we won't see any more of her.
I didn't. Like the multiple returns of Jim MacDonald, they always followed the same path. Always hurt and heartbreak. Never a happy ending
I bet that maybe Jackie left her son a great deal of money and that's why Fiz wants to 'reconcile'with Tyrone.
Otherwise why kill Jackie off?
Maybe Margi Clarke told tptb that she never wishes to come back, and now they've made sure she won't
Ty and Fizz seem to take it in turns to be horrible. They're both quick to blame and turn on friends in a heartbeat. Not a lot of trust and loyalty ever between them either. Maybe if they're together they can take long filming breaks as a family.
