Support Engineer - Coronation Street,UK-North West-Manchester, Full-time

Coronation Street are recruiting for an experienced Support Engineer to provide operational and technical support for all aspects of Coronation Street Production, from script through to delivery.

As our Support Engineer we will look to you to work closely with our Technical Managers and Senior Support Engineers monitoring our technical workflow whilst identifying technical problems and providing solutions.

Your primary role is Operational Vision / Recording Engineer in our multi-camera Studios. You will also perform a Support Engineer role on our mobile units as well as first and second line Systems/Electronic Maintenance for all departments within Coronation Street and carry out scheduled maintenance with concise record keeping. You will participate in the innovation and development of current and future technologies including quality control and technical reviews.

Multiskilling is an important element of the role and you will need the ability to switch between operational and support roles providing cover for the Senior Support Engineers as required. The successful person must have extensive experience and working knowledge of the technical requirements of studio, location, post production, and Graphics.

Our Support Engineer will have strong IT skills including networking broadcast equipment and the ability to deal with a wide range of people internally and externally. You must have excellent health and safety knowledge, logical reasoning and proven problem solving abilities. A degree/HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic engineering or a similar discipline is desirable.

This role will include travel, long or unusual hours of work and cover for others at short notice. The role will have a variable shift pattern to provide Technical Support and Operational cover for all Production hours.
