Hayley sends beyond the grave messages to Roy

We know Roy will be back from his walkabout, that's a given. We also know he's going to have a difficult time coming to terms with Hayley's death. Also a given. And we know that Hayley would want to do anything she could to help ease his pain just a little and it seems like she's going to do just that.

In a spoiler here, we're told that Hayley has organized little messages and gifts to be delivered to Roy after she's gone. They will start appearing shortly after Roy returns to the cafe from his self-imposed temporary exile. David Neilson says "When Roy returns there is a bit of a mystery because these parcels start arriving for him. They’re from Hayley. She’s pre-ordered these things for Roy and that actually takes him through the next part of his journey really, because it’s a message from the other side."

His friends, of course, are avidly curious, especially Mary but we all know Roy is a private person and he keeps his little connection with Hayley to himself. He's due back on our screens next week when Tracy and Steve see him in the Museum of Science and Industry during a Victorian day for Amy's school. Though the spoilers don't say, I think it's going to be Steve that convinces Roy that he's missed and that everyone is worried about him. It's enough to bring Roy back to the cafe unannounced, back where he belongs to face his lonely future, that is, until Hayley's packages start to arrive. Maybe they'll ease his way forward just a little bit.

It sounds like a lovely denouement to the storyline.
