Watch Video: Coronation Street's 50 years in five minutes

The official Coronation Street website has this video online now as the start of the 50th anniversary celebrations get going. It's lovely and well worth spending five minutes to watch it.

For those Corrie fans who can't view it there, here it is from YouTube, above.

Really nice video. Thanks. Interesting to note that the coming 50th anniversary catastrophic train accident on the viaduct is actually the second one within 50 years.

I would have preferred more cracking lines rather than so much fist action and drink pouring. It looks a very violent soap from this compilation.

It showed all sides of it though, funny, sad, violent, explosive, dramatic and brilliant! :D

Thanks, so much, Flaming Nora! That video is fantastic. I can see how Anonymous feels "...It looks a very violent soap from this compilation.", but for long time viewers and fans it's just wonderful. It gave me laughs, joy and tears.
