Corrie fans vote for their favourite Street icon

In The Coronation Street Blog Oggies Awards 2010, we asked fans to vote for the thing, person, item, place, which screams these three words: Coronation Street Icon

The Rovers Return was voted your number one Corrie icon, with a massive 40% of the vote.
And yes, that's our bloggers Sunny Jim and Flaming Nora pictured above outside of the Rovers Return on a recent, very special trip to the Corrie set.

In second place was Hilda Ogden's flying ducks, with 10% of the vote.

In third place were the cobbles with 7% of the vote.

In fourth place was Elsie Tanner with 5% of the vote.

And in fifth place was Betty's hotpot, with 4% of the vote.

Thanks to everyone who voted in The Oggies - the very first Coronation Street Blog Awards!

With thanks to our blogger Yoork for designing the Oggies logo and to our blogger Sunny Jim for totting up the results.

No surprise there, and the flying ducks are indeed iconic as is Betty's hotpot!
