The Coronation Street cast were scrubbed up good and proper at last night's BAFTAs in their lovely frocks and suits. Coronation Street didn't win best soap (again) but never mind, eh? There's always next time. And yes, that is Tina O'Brien (Sarah Grimshaw) and Suranne Jones (Karen McDonald) on the first picture.
Helen Worth even turned up at the awards with a police escort! Have a look at the picture here. There's also a YouTube video interview with Helen, from the red carpet, here.
And have a look here to see Chris Gascoyne's (Peter Barlow) reaction to Corrie losing out on the BAFTA (again).

Missed out again to Deadenders. Hope the scriptwriters will waken themselves up and realise that stupid stories with no substance like the Gail in Jail is not going to win any awards.
Lol love the pic of Chris. Ali King looks gorgeous!!
Same old, same old actors at the awards. Boring, dull and no imagination. Same as Corrie's current storylines.
Sean Tully would go to the opening of an envelope.
Maybe Corrie should change its name to the Steve and Becky show.
Let's have Roy, Norris, Haley and Pam getting their own show. The ratings would be massive.
And the new credit music ...... oh dear.
Hey Mr new producer ..... please change it all round and put the fun back into Corrie and i don't mean Craig Gazey and the other young'uns! I'm talking about the classically talented actors you seem to have pushed to one side more often than not.
Surely anyone with sense can see why Corrie doesn't win awards and why EastEnders wins all the time, even though the actors aren't as good!
Have a look at the funny storylines and serious ones a few years ago with Dev, Pam, Norris etc etc. You can't compete with talent.
Anonymous you mentioned Pam twice which totally ruins your argument because she's absolutely irritating (&rubbish)! :P
eek - Gail looks very Mrs Danvers! everyone else looks fab.
I can't get over how tiny Helen Worth is!
