Corrie cast stuck in Canada?

Every year in Toronto there's an event called The British Isles Show which over the years has been well supported by Granada/ITV who send over Coronation Street stars to attend the event. This year it was the turn of Katherine Kelly and Antony Cotton to press the flesh and sign autographs for their adoring fans on the other side of the pond. But how will they get back?

Flights into the UK have been halted because of the volcanic ash cloud from Eyjafjallajokull hanging over northern Europe and look likely to remain that way for quite a while. It's great for the 2 actors who I guess will now have an unexpected holiday where they can indulge in as much cod cheeks and poutine as they like. But will there have to be some hasty script rewrites?

I'm sure the writers will handle it!

... r'Becky and Sean et al are on their way to New York City so hopefully flights will resume when the time comes to cross the pond.

Flamin' volcano.

Tried hard but now no hols for me and my little swamp duck....

Still, could be worse and stuck abroad waiting for Admiral Gordon Brown and HMS Ark Royal to come to the rescue!

Good luck to anyone stuck.
