Who would vote for Gemma and Chesney as best couple? They’ve awful characters who’ve hogged the limelight for far too long with one stupid storyline after the other. Together they’re bland and boring, like all of Chesney’s relationships. They’ve only been nominated because the producer (for reasons that escape me) really likes them - it’s just a shame no one else does.
Carla and Peter are a great pairing with a huge following BUT sadly we haven’t seen enough of them this past year to warrant them being nominated for this award.
If this is the best Corrie has to offer then it should be a lesson to the show to start focusing more on its couples because it’s clearly a weak area.
The Baileys for best family? Is this a joke? Bad choice.
And the only award gangster Gary will be scooping is the gong for the dullest villain ever or the most amount of head bobbing in one scene.
Also, wouldn’t class Gemma giving birth to quads on a cable cart as a feel-good moment, more like a ‘my toes are curling this is so bad’ moment.
I guess we’re relying on Geoff, Yasmeen, the comedic brilliance of Maureen Lipman and Sinead’s cancer storyline to save Corrie from walking away empty-handed.
Anon, I agree with you 100%! I absolutely hate Gemma & Chesney scenes. Chesney has got to be one of the most boring characters on the street. I cannot understand what women see in him.
The writers giving those two dolts five babies is completely ridiculous! What is going to happen when they start to walk, there isn't room in that dumpy house to move an inch. Nothing at all against the actors who play them, but I really wish that entire family with the exception of Paul (who I quite like) would move off the street forever.
