Artwork by Anne Kirkbride, who plays Coronation Street's Deirdre Barlow, has gone up for sale.
There's an exhibition on at the Wendy J Levy Contemporary Art Gallery in Didsbury where Anne's paintings are currently on display.
The Wendy Levy gallery is a select and friendly gallery
showing original paintings, drawings and sculpture by well-known
artists.
Anne's paintings will be on show until Friday 19 October.

WOW - she is very talented! They should incorporate her talent into her character's - then maybe she'd have less time to slag off Ken.
Good point! It would be interesting if instead of silly pottery, Dreary began painting and developed a real talent,displaying and selling her work! That would balance out her relationship with artsy-fartsy Ken for sure and give her something to do outside of smoking, drinking, slagging off Ken and supporting her useless daughter.
I thought these were actual paintings (as mentioned above) but looks like prints of photoshopped images.
In the Platts living room, next to the front door, there is a framed painting (or print) that I've thought for awhile could be one of Anne's, as it looks like her style. Has anyone else noticed it?

Yes, JB - it's an outdoor scene under a blue sky - a whitewashed stone wall with a blue arched-top door in the center, and some Bougainvilleas or similar flowers draped over the wall. I'll have to keep a sharp eye out & hope to catch a close-up of it some day, as there is something printed under the painting. I checked Anne's website, but didn't see this particular painting - however, she only has paintings on the site that are for sale. If she donated it to the Corrie set, it wouldn't be there.
