The Sun reports this morning that there's going to be a fire at the knicker factory and two characters will die!
The paper says that Tony Gordon burns the factory down after taking Hayley Cropper, Carla Connor and Maria Connor hostage. Becky McDonald and Roy Cropper are also drawn into the plot during a rescue attempt. A 'Corrie source' told the paper: "When it is all over, two body bags are carried out." The story is expected to air in June. I wonder if this story's true or a load of pants on fire?

It'll be expendable crew members, people from the packing or shipping department likely. Or one of them will be Tony himself.
Apart from Tony, who I would have thought is odds-on to die, I can't help thinking John Stape is likely to die to. I didn't get the impression that he was planning on staying, when he was interviewed on This Morning recently, and also it'd be typical of Corrie to have a character like him finally redeem himself by sacrificing himself in order to save one of the other regulars. I hope I am wrong though, as I quite like the character.
It will be Tony and one of the non speaking factory staff. A lot of fuss about nothing, although with Thesea leaving it could be her...
Isn't this to do with the siege as reported by DS? Tony holds Carla and Hayley hostage and gradually more and more characters get drawn into the action. Can't wait!
Oh, I do hope it's not Stape. I want him to grow old on the Street!! I suppose it could be Teresa, but I hope she just lurches off drunkenly in one of these taxi-exits. Although - she might actually start the fire with a lethal lit fag/inflammable cleaning materials combination?
Two will die becuase it was on This morning and the soap woman her name escapes me said that tony will be taking hostages in the factory
I can only hope that Becky is one of them. But Tony is most likely, sounds good anyway.
Maybe this is a bit dark for Corrie, but could baby Liam be the second victim? I can't really see that they will kill off Maria, Hayley or Carla. Baby Liam can't fend for himself, maybe Maria couldn't fight Tony off, and Tony wants to be with his 'son' forever, eek.
Stape already is old ;)
Tony obviously is one. I bloody wish it were Maria n all though! It'll probably be his sidekick though surely?
i bloody wish it was carla and tony! proberly tony and his side kick!
There was a fatal fire in the factory - 35 or so years ago?
I've been racking my brains trying to remember who died - one of the machinists, who turned the wrong way when trying to get out, got stuck behind a door, and first informal identification of body to emergency services at the scene was by Vera ( who recognized jewellery).
Can anyone else remember this?
Would that have been Edna Gee? She died in a factory fire many years ago.
