Every couple of months, the fab actress Julie Walters is quoted in the papers as saying she'd love a part on Coronation Street. Whether the quotes are hers or tabloid made-ups, it's hard to know but she's quoted again in The Sun today saying the same thing.
If her quotes are true, I reckon she'd be wonderful on Coronation Street and Corrie should do all they can to get her on there, and soon.

Julie would be great - they'd have to create a really good part for her. I can see Julie, with an Annie Walker look, pulling pints in the Rovers (Liz's mum?! no offence Julie!). OR glammed up as a hard-faced pal of Rita's from the old days. OR - what about a GP? I've been thinking for a while there hasn't been a GP on Corrie for ages. Scraping bottom of barrel - yet another love interest for Ken?! The list goes on!
Anyone remember her amazing turn as Martha Longhurst in that Victoria Wood sketch? I've said for years Julie (or Vikky for that atter) would be fantastic in The Strret. Julie is a national treasure and should be given a DBE at the very next Honours List!
Those guest appearances definitely make Corrie even more fun to watch. I hope they do get Ms Walters.
She'd be amazing!
She's too good for them....
Please no!! Julie Walters has too much adulation and too many opportunities to display her very ordinary talent.
