ITV have just announced Lewis Archer is set to make a return to the Corrie cobbles!
Lewis came in as an escort and romanced Audrey back in 2010, but it ended in tears when he was revealed to be a conman. He snogged Deirdre Barlow, scammed the bookies out of £4,000, and nearly ran off with Audrey’s life savings. He was last seen jetting off to Barbados with Lydia Radcliffe.
Lewis, played by Nigel Havers, is now being lined up for a return to the Street in early 2012.
Time will tell if this is set to cause more trouble for unlucky-in-love Audrey, or if things could finally be on the up for her.

It was a good storyline but I can't see his return lasting long. Audrey could never trust him again, no matter what he tells her "sincerely"
Unless he too confesses that he like to dress up in women's clothing. You never know these days!

Peter will flay him alive the second he turns up, hes got a long memory and a nasty temper. Never cross a Barlow.
It'll be very interesting to see what storyline the writers come up with to bring Lewis back - I can't imagine what his motivation could possibly be, given that surely he'd be up on criminal charges the moment he returned to Weatherfield. Peter gave the police CCTV footage of him robbing the bookies, and he is hardly likely to turn a blind eye to Lewis once he shows his face again. I can't see Audrey being too sympathetic, either.
Unless he's back, been caught and is going to trial where Audrey and Peter have to testify.
