Yay or Nay - should Kylie do a DNA test?

Despite Michelle Keegan, who plays Tina McIntyre, tweeting a picture of her Corrie script which states that David "can not be ruled out" as the father of baby Lily, the real dad of new baby Platt has yet to be resolved.  Even if Nick has a DNA test when he wakes from his coma, his result would come back the same as David's with "can not be ruled out".  Lily's dad can only be ascertained (and that's a long word for a Thursday) if Kylie has a DNA test.

So, what do you think?  It'll be Kylie's decision - is ignorance bliss or should she have a DNA test and find out who Lily's real dad is - Yay or Nay?

just wish Gail and Tina would SHUT UP. The pair of sanctimonious bags, neither will be able to keep their stupid traps shut and have no tact or discretion. They would need DNA of all three parties and even then as they are half brothers it may be inconclusive and DNA tests don’t come cheap – a few hundred quid a pop. NAY leave the little family alone. Gail move out if you are having problems coming to terms with it, you are such an annoying character these days.

Yes, what Lord Hawhaw said.

Gail told Sally so how long before she blabs to Tim? The baby is David's but after Nick wakes up (I hear he's supposed to have had a personality transplant while they were operating on his brain) and is a real bad 'un - whilst David tries to play happy families as Nick turns the tables on him - making his life hell. Or so I'm told.

So when Nick wakes up, he goes after David for revenge? The idea of this storyline going on for another year (or two years according to Ben Price) makes me frustrated! Not because it hasn't been good so far but because there is hardly anything else happening on the show. Some of the stronger characters are fading into the background while the Platts are at their best. Kylie, love, do us all a favour and have that DNA test!

Yes, she should get the test done, or we'll never hear the end of it! David will be even more of a surly mess.

Kylie and her kind are used to making babies where the the identity of the father is uncertain. Just another day really.

How can Lily be Nick's? They had sex at Christmas and Kylie had morning sickness at New Year's. Writers messed this one up from the very beginning.

It would make a good story for Kylie not to have the dna test on the basis that she would rather bring Lily up as David's child and ignorance is bliss. Of course, two years down the line it will all come up again through the baby needing a blood transfusion or other medical procedure. Btw, what was the story about Leanne storming out and Gail begging her to come back to Nick? If Leanne knows, maybe she'll force Kylie to have a dna test.

speaking of DNA testing-why was Steve automatically assumed to be Amy's father? It could've been anyone - Tracy being the douche that she is. I think a good storyline is Amy is in an accident and needs a transfusion whereby Steve is ruled out as a donor because he isn't suitable - he isn't really her dad. Maybe that would be pushing it though-just a thought.

I agree with Lord Hawhaw.

And why is any of this Tina's business? What good would be served by the whole truth coming out? The lives of Lily, Max, Kylie and David would be effed up; along with Nick's, Leanne's and Simon's. That's a LOT of people damaged - just because Tina has become some sort of moral judge?? Gimme a break!

I agree with Anon. 16:22. I would love Amy not to be Steve's kid, as it might be a good way to ditch Tracy. It would be funny if Craig turned out to be Steve's instead. There's something about Craig that reminds me of a young Eddie Yates.
