Catherine Tyldesley has her Corrie contract extended

Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price, has had her current Coronation Street extended until next year.

In an interview with Daily Star Sunday, Catherine says she still pinches herself every time she steps out on to the cobbles.
She said: “I’ve wanted to work on Corrie for as long as I can remember and it really has been everything I thought it would be. I’m having an incredible time.

"I’ve had my contract extended until next year and I’ve been told that Eva has got some very big things coming up. I’ve got a meeting next week where I will find out what they’ve got planned for her and I can’t wait. It’s all very exciting and I’m really looking forward to getting the next batch of scripts just so I can find out what happens to her."

What do you think about Eva Price on Corrie? I wasn't keen on her to start with but in her relationship with Nick she's been great, forcing him to face up to being an adult and moving away from living with Gail, I've warmed to her a lot. And I'm glad to hear she's staying.

I hope they give her a meatier role..she's a good actress but stuck in the beyotch mode...too many of them on the street right now. WTF is Kylie all of a sudden? Pollyanna? David? Where did he go?

Nick and Eva on their own are very bland, uninteresting characters but there's a spark when they're together. There could be some great humour with their respective 'mothers-in-law', both of whom would think their precious child could do a lot better.

Nah dont like her, a pointless and spiteful character.

I didn't like her at the outset; thought she was very childish. But I kinda like her now and her relationship with Nick.

Eva and Nick are good together and I can see more hilarious scenes with the two families together again at some point.
