We Can't Lose Dozy Plebster!

I'm a big fan of Weatherfield's best ever flippertygibbet Rosie Webster, and was saddened by recent reports that Helen Flanagan might be leaving Coronation Street due to panic attacks.
I'd hate to see her go.

I don't know - Helen's only 21, and has grown up on the Street. Maybe she feels it's time to try something new, and who could blame her? Does she really want to be a Ken Barlow, still treading the cobbles after 50 years? Surely life holds a bit more for her than that.

The panic attacks are distressing but will definitely pass (I have them myself intermittently, as do many, many others - there is lots of help out there, in case anyone is wondering). Helen will be OK. The important thing is, she shouldn't make any decisions about her future until she feels she's got her feet on the ground again.

Anyone else have any views?

Well, maybe if the writers quit effing around with her character she might find some common ground but holee-sheet..one year she's all goth and anti establishment..the next she's a slut screwing her teacher for grades, then she's a brain dead dumbass living with the equally brain dead Jason and now??supposedly a 'valley girl' type model who is just annoying..nothing else. The girl can act but is drowning in dire scripts and her career is going to hit the skids and she can probably sense it. I hope she can overcome this setback.

Yes, I agree they've probably made her far too ditsy of late. She's very young and I don't think her career will hit the skids though. My favourite phase was when she was a Goth and Richard Fleeshman (is that his name? I forget)was her boyfriend. They were great together.

I for one find the character extremely annoying but I certainly wish Helen all the best.
