Carla obviously thought herself far too grand to be at the auction, until Frank bought her a £500 handbag that is, I really dislike this hard faced woman.
Oh I'm so sorry to say this but Stella isn't working. Also, there is no way that her character and Les Battersby would EVER have got together.
Come on Corrie. Get real. Stella needs to go and hands up to admitting a mistake. I'm not sure the new producer has got it right and several odd decisions have been made since he came from Dr Who.
By the way, is Pamela Hobsworth coming back. I think I saw somewhere that she was - hooray, we need talent back on the Street.
I was reserving judgment on the Leanne/Stella storyline until we saw it pan out, but after last night's episode I have to give it a thumbs down. I do not like the way it's going. Also, how old is Eva supposed to be? If Leanne is 30 that would make her I'm guessing in around 25 or 26e? She looks older than she's supposed to be I think. I don't think this character has added anything so far except for scowls and some strange outfits! Also, doesn't she have a JOB? (Maybe I missed something!)
Although lots of Corrie story lines are improbable, they get away with it because of good acting and good writing. But Stella and Eva just don't work for me and their row last night was toe curling. No rapport and full of cliches eg 'you've never wanted for anything ...' And it really doesn't help that Eva looks too old even if the actress is only 28.
Thank goodness for Chris Gascoyne and Jane's Dansons fantastic acting yesterday Humpty - they carried this improbable story through. Michelle Collins is a weak actress and the Botox limits her expressions and Eva is just a totally pointless waste of space.
Get rid of Michelle Collins with her Botox and her weak, raspy voice. Rula Lenska would have made a brilliant bar manager.
I Owen starting to have 'feelings' for Anna? Is Faye going to do something 'bad' to Anna? I think so.
I like Stella..Eva not so much but she has to be the evil stepsister to the Cinderellaleanne. Watch her make a play for Peter..Fireworks galore...can't wait!!!
