In this week's Inside Soap magazine, Coronation Street producer Phil Collinson reveals that a relative of Roy's will turn up next year. He says: "Early next year we might well bring in a relative of Roy but I don't want to reveal more than that right now. It'll be someone who really puts the cat among the pigeons for him and Hayley."
He also reveals some upcoming Corrie spoilers and says this of Jason and Rosie: "We can also expect major things of Jay-Ro. I think they have all the makings of a classic Corrie couple. Jason is Mr Gay Weatherfield and Rosie is the local glamour puss. They'll be together for the foreseeable future." Am I the only one to groan at this?
And it looks like Dev and Sunita won't be getting killed off in the tram crash as the article says that the Alahans (note the plural) will have to pick up the pieces after the corner shop is obliterated in the crash.
Other snippets include Gail being mortified at Tracy's return (won't we all?); Tracy and Becky will fight for Steve and Amy (yawn); a shock development will force David to reassess his life (epilepsy?); testing times will unite Izzy and Gary (this one I like!) and Carla and Michelle rule the factory with a rod of iron (this one I don't like!).

Nice mix of storylines taking us into 2011. Hope the Roy relative storyline isn't a big flop like Hayley's secret son!
Jason and Rosie... bleurgh. DOn't care..
And honestly, one more episode of scheming Tracy (epecially scheming to get Steve and/or Amy) is one episode too many for me!
Also like the thought of Izzy and Gary together...
Rebecca in TO
Izzy & Gary is the only one I like the sound of out of that lot I'm afraid.
I like the sound of it all, I thought Tracy would be dominating the street, but it sounds like there's going to be a good mix of storylines
"Ja-Ro" - that's nauseating. Not looking forward to seeing that buck-toothed Tracy again either.
CLASSIC CORRIE COUPLE - EH? In other words we are to get these gormless pair in our faces almost every scene just as they did with the "classic corrie couple" of Steve and Becky when they were the last producers flavour of the month.
And why oh why oh why bring Tracy back? Apart from writing out the character of Claire which was long overdue I am not impressed with the reign of Mr Collinson, and keeping Dev??? I rest my case.
The only good thing about "JayRo" is going to be Eileen's reaction and constant digs like when he was with Sarah. Maybe Eileen and Sally can have a roll around the cobbles in a hair pulling fight over their kids!
And have the powers that be vanished all of Dev's other 6 shops these days? You don't hear anything about them anymore after they all got blown up by Maya. Did he just take the insurance and run?
I think the actor that played Tony Gordon's prison buddy that blew up the factory would have been an excellent relation of Roys. He was sorely wasted in that short part.
@Tvor - yes, a really good hair fight would be brilliant!
