ITV is moving Coronation Street to 9pm each night for a week, so they can capitalise on the start of live Britain's Got Talent episodes.
The new Corrie schedule runs from Bank Holiday Monday 31 May to Friday 4 June and climaxes in the storyline involving Tony Gordon's prison breakout and the taking of hostages.
ITV said that the final week of the Coronation Street storyline, which includes a hostage scene, involves the most expensive episodes in the history of the 50-year-old drama.
In total there will be six episodes of Coronation Street, with the first one airing at 7pm on the Monday and the remainder at 9pm. The shows will also be broadcast in high definition on ITV1 HD for the first time. Full details at The Guardian website.
Doncha just hate it when they mess with the Corrie schedule?

Usually it would annoy me, but this time it works in Corrie's favour
I think this'll be fantastic for viewing figures. With the motley crew watching BGT will be watching tv 8.59pm and are therefore more likely to watch what comes on next. Plus i am hoping this means it'll be a bit more daring. I will laugh if they're allowed to swear. I'm so excited to see Tony and Carla again, they (Ali and Gray) work sooo well together.
Prison break out - hostages - Tony and Carla - Corrie's been a bit dull lately but this sounds pretty good to me!
