The best thing about Coronation Street is...

... the writing.

I've long maintained that the reason I watch the show is to listen to the dialogue that the writers put into the actors' mouths. Actor Craig Charles, who plays Coronation Street cabbie Lloyd Mullaney, agrees.

I agree with those sentiments. It's the storline editing team I have issues with; I do differentiate between the two.

More often than not it's the great Blanche Hunt that has the best dialgoue and one-liners.
