Ben Thompson might better known to Coronation Street fans as Ryan Connor but in his time away from the cobbles, Ben's in a Smiths tribute band called Rusholme Ruffians. Read more about them here. The band recently performed at Radcliffe Borough FC on in a sold-out show, raising funds for the NSPCC. And tickets go on sale next week for the band’s next show at The Met in Bury on Friday, July 10.

The only time I've heard mention of The Smiths on Coro was when Hayley's son in the record store said he had a white label Smith's 12" at home.
I know me Smiths and I am sure they never had no white label 12". Bah.
I bet Curly had a few Smiths albums tho. I've heard Liam mention Oasis a few times as well.
As Morrissey was(still is?) such a buge fan of Corrie, you'd think he or the Smiths would get more of a mention, wouldn't you?
