The Royal Television Society Awards 2009 were held last night in London and Coronation Street lost out on the award for Best Soap and Continuing Drama to that London soap. Again. Bah humbug, etc.
Remember to vote for Corrie in the British Soap Awards 2009.

Hmm, again, eh. Must be their creepy/dark paedophile storyline that did it for EE.
I'm not sure I would want Corrie to go that route to be honest.
I hate to say it but is Corrie really that bad that they keep losing out on these awards? Or is Eastenders really that good? I feel a blog quiz coming on!
Im equally a fan of both. Been watching them for 15 years or so. But lets be honest - Corrie has been far better than EE for the past 12-18 months. Its not a contest. EE has been pretty stale since the Max/Stacey storyline came to a head.
I agree with Steve Q. I watch both but I prefer Corrie. Although Corrie had the Stape/Rosie story, EE's Tony/Whitney story was like I said, dark. They have these big stories and then poof... it gets draggy.
Every time I watch a snippet of eastenders, there seems to be always someone shouting.
Yup, that's pretty much EE. All Gobs and volume
All Gobs and Volume! I love that! Sums EE up in a nutshell! Corrie is way better because it has a sense of humour and likeable characters. The EE characters are all horrible in some way!
