Breaking news this morning from ITV, announcing that Beverly Callard has decided to call it a day. She will be exiting in the New Year and will be persuing new projects. She's been on Coronation Street as Liz McDonald on and off for 21 years, and is one of my favourites. I'm hoping with the return of Jim this fall, that Liz and Jim can finally make that chemistry work again and go off into the sunset together. Beverly herself has had a rough time with her health in recent years and is looking forward to new challenges and a wedding to her long time love, Jon McEwan. We at Blog Towers wish her all the best!

Bev Callard is leaving Coronation Street
