With Yasmeen and Oliver stories in full flow lighter moments were in short supply this week. And above Yasmeen is commenting on her inability to see Geoff for what he was - given the raised voices in every house in the land shouting at her we were wondering how a strong and intelligent woman could fall for it. But never mind it is nearly all over bar the shouting. I just hope that Yasmeen is able to recover and enjoy her life to the full.
Sarah wants to collect the children from school - but Shona has put on an outfit to show off her toned body and then locks herself in the house. Above Sarah is suggesting that Adam might have more chance charming Shona out of the house than she will. Adam declines and heads off to collect the children leaving Sarah to deal with Shona!
On hearing this line my wife turned, looked at me and commenced laughing. Apparently romantic is not my strong point either, in fact "romantic" is so far off the scale that it does not even mention a ranking as even a weak point in my favour! I know just how Kev feels!
The pay off comes a little later when for date night Kev suggests a film and a take-away - to which Abi responds by the observation concerning Rocky and Vin Diesel (above). Well surely any good mechanic likes vans and diesel engines? Then Kev turns into an old romantic by saying he thought he struck lucky long before they ever started watching movies!
When we were not in the hospital on Friday we were mainly in the Rovers where in difficult circumstances Jenny is trying to lift spirits recounting a new item from the radio about a landlady with a pub in Rochdale with a parrot called Morrisey which has the above catch phrase for all those coming into the bar! Johnny remains morose.
Above are Jenny's step daughter Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and her partner Lee (Oliver Devoti) who are having a long lunch party with Jenny and Johnny - past midnight apparently. However events make it seem even longer as Johnny announces he wants a divorce and tells the young couple all of his wife's faults and she responds in kind especially as they fall out over Johnnie's favourite pudding which might be apple crumble or lemon meringue pie.
The disputations soon spread to the younger couple when Daisy turns on Lee and it appears they cannot agree that they are having an argument!
And near the end of the episode Carla tells Jenny what is going on. Carla tells her that Johnny loves her so much - but he is trying to make Jenny hate him so that he can go to prison and Jenny can get on with her life without him as he knows he will have a long spell inside and she deserves a life. As Carla starts her story we see Jenny above so close to tears but not actually crying.

Considering that she 'charmed' almost every single man on the Street and her children have two different fathers,Sarah is in no position to judge Adam especially since she chose to lie for Gary over her marriage to Adam.
There was nothing comical in the whole freakin' week...not a thing
