Julie didn't take it too well when David suggested she invest in a pair of elasticated maternity jeans |
Does Brian appreciate his girlfriend’s clobber? Is he aware of the ulterior motive behind Julie’s choice of threads? We’ve seen this fifties throwback wearing sweetheart necklines, and flouncy, cupcake and heart cotton prints that scream traditional, old-fashioned, family values, leaving Julie looking as wholesome as a freshly baked apple pie.
We can only guess and wonder – some might shudder – at Julie’s future maternity wear. As her bump grows, we’ll be sad to see the back of her fifties frocks with their nipped-in waists and we can only hope that she shies away from voluminous tents and those jeans with the ridiculously broad elasticated waistbands – never a good look.
But onto more serious considerations: what are the chances of this hopeless romantic having a baby out of wedlock? And if there is to be a wedding, that leaves only one, fabulous giddy-making thought… Julie’s wedding dress. It’s enough to put us in a fashion spin…

I love the way she dresses, though I've never understood how she pulls it off on a factory salary. I know there are vintage/secondhand shops but the offers for, er, plusher ladies tend to be thin on the ground.
*offerings, sheesh
Maybe she makes a lot of her own clothes, or she could scour the markets for vintage stuff too
I'll bet she will come up with some pretty great maternity wear and if she's handy with a sewing machine at the Faktry, she maybe makes her own clothes. Love her character and 50's attire.
Off topic, but geez, those new anti-Robot words are like looking through a steamed shower door and often it takes me twice to have my post accepted.....
I love Julie's wardrobe. At my daughter's wedding last June, the bridesmaids wore halter dresses as close to some of Julie's that we could find, as did the flower girl ( my 5 year old granddaughter). The gang looked fantastic!
Also I have to agree with ChiaGwen. It's really hard to decipher some of those words.
ChiaGwen is absolutely right. I'm not a robot but I have real trouble reading them sometimes. Much preferred the old system.
Sorry about the comments peeps, if I could change it I would but I can't.. flamin' blogspot!
