Is Steve stuck in 'Groundhog Day'?

What Steve feels like doing every time Becky messes up
I'm beginning to feel sorry for poor Steve, as his life for the past year or two seems to have been like 'Groundhog Day', since his wedding in 2009, Becky has been constantly ruining poor Steve's life, but Steve, like the idiot he is, keeps forgiving her.

This leads to a lot of situations when Steve gives Becky her last chance. Though, for some reason, whenever Steve makes a mistake, or dares put his daughter first, Becky seems to get on her high horse, forgetting that she's payed for a kid, robbed from her neighbour, who at the time was possibly dying and she forgets all her other crimes, and somehow thinks she has the right to go out and get smashed.

Steve needs to get rid quick, Becky has robbed him of his life, his family, his daughter, his money and his friends, no woman is worth losing all that over Steve!

Steve should have listened to his mother! Yes it groundhog day with the same scenario played over and over again., very very tiresome indeed I think the whole country is heartily sick of Becky and the PTB should really bring Katherine Kelly's leaving forward.

I totally agree. Steve is a wonderful character, but has been dragged down by Becky in the last couple of years.

you have to be kidding us. "Poor" Steve is not innocent in all of this.
There are always choices and "poor" ickle Steve has made plenty of bad ones and only has himself to blame for them.

What can you expect from a man who totally accepts the word of psycho-killer Tracy that Amy is his daughter, without so much as a hint at DNA testing......ludicrous. Loved Becky and Steve in the begining but agree she has been turned into the wife from Hell....now counting the days till she leaves.....though hoping she comes back in the future as a re-invented not so out of control Becky.

It's too bad the producer/writers took the Becky character down this rocky path. It would have been nice to see a prop family - including Liz/Jim - behind the Rovers bar. It's a tribute to Katherine Kelly's acting acumen that she's so disliked. Oh, well. NEXT!

Simon Gregson acts his socks off and its a credit to him that he makes the storyline believable even though its a bit repetitive. I suppose its true to his character that he keeps making the same mistakes. I could watch him all day though as he is still truly eye watering even with a slight pot belly.

See... to me, it's story with tracy that reminds me of Groundhog Day!
I used to really liked Becky, Steve, and Amy as a family unit.. too bad they decided to turn Becky into a shrieking harridan for "drama"..
