Axed, Bradleyed or Hillmanned? YOU decide!

There's a lot of talk at the moment about which Coronation Street characters should be, or are likely to be, "axed".

That set me to wondering whether "axed" is the correct term to use in the Corrie context. There have been a few sudden deaths in Corrie, but I can't remember an actual axe being involved at any time.
Maybe "trammed" or "Bradleyed" might be better? Or what about "Hillmanned"?

Well new producers usually get rid of "dead wood". I personally would like to see given their cards:

Michelle Connor, become pointless apart from the local bike. Too fond of herself by a long chalk.

Maria Connor, doesnt have anywhere to go now in my opinion, hasnt really been missed since she has been away. Pretty enough girl but the whiney toned voice is irritating.

Dev, but he wont be, the acting is totally pantomime and he is more past his sellby than last week's loaf but he obviously has friends in high places.

Ryan and Sian, could't care less about either of these two and neither have made any lasting impression.

This new producer doesn't bode well, does he? Getting rid of the Peacocks, killing off Natasha and bringing back Tracy Barlow. So far, not so good!

How about drowning Dev in a vat of his own oil?

The corner shop has been criminally underused in recent years, whereas in was always, along with the Rovers, one of the two main places for characters to meet and converse.

Surely a change of owner (quickly followed by a complete re-design of the interior) could allow it to resume it's rightful place in Weatherfield life.

I would agree with Roys Rolls, there is a lot of dead wood in the street at the mo, good decision to get rid of Ashley, Claire and Natasha.
Id add Molly and Tyrone to that list, completely boring characters and going nowhere, Trevor the bin has not worked,
It needs a good overhaul,

Roy and Hayley have not been totally underused since Tony Gordon

If it wasn't for the fun between Norris and Mary, there's been very little on offer in the past few months

Michelle, Michelle and - let me think about it - Michelle.

Past their best before/sell by date:

Maria, Michelle, Ryan, Sian, Molly, Tyrone, Kev, Sally, Rosie, Sophie, Liz

nothing personal -- just the writers not using these characters enough! Well, with whiny Maria -- she could have gone a long time ago and I wouldn't have minded...

maybe just axe the writers and get some fresh blood in the writing department instead of punishing the actors...they only have their scripts to work with...

The only problem with axing so many characters is that a more or less equal number of new characters will come in... and chances are we'll dislike many of them just as much as the departing characters.

Now there's the thing John, do you not think there are too many characters in the first place? I certainly do; if there were less characters, the ones left would surely get more storylines?
