Alison King, who plays Carla Connor (sorry, can never get used to calling her Carla Gordon...) has returned to work on the Coronation Street set. Both the official Corrie site at ITV and Digital Spy report we'll see Carla back on screen in mid-October.
A Corrie source this morning said: "Everyone's really excited to have Ali back on set and she's looking absolutely fantastic. Carla left the Street with so many questions unanswered, so we can't wait to see how the storyline unfolds when she finds out that Tony's seeing Maria."
Never mind Tony seeing Maria, what about him proposing to her and offering to adopt baby Liam?

YAYYYYY!!!!! (:
I don't really like Carla, but I am definitely looking forward to seeing what happens when she returns!
Yay! and Mid-late October is just about the time of the anniversary of Liam's death so the timing is perfect. She must come back for the anniversary and it'll be just the same time as Tony proposes since the spoilers say he does it at the cemetery on the anniversary. BOOM!!!! That's Liam rollingover in his grave!
that story in the sun is a faket unless they are showing corrie on saturday 17 october the anniversary of liams death - when i read i knew it sound right tony wouldn't be THAT insensitive.
And Leanne will be making an appearance in early September. Not sure if she's back full time then or not.
I'm looking forward to Carla's return and seeing how this storyline plays out.
I'm really looking forward to her return! Things are stale on the street right now for me!
