News just in from the cobbles to the blog is that there's a new woman arriving in Jack Duckworth's life on Coronation Street. Well, Vera's been dead and gone for over a year now and Jack will find himself bonding over a shared love of pigeons with new woman Connie. Whether this new friendship will lead to romance remains to be seen. I'm told the actress who'll play Connie has yet to be cast. More news as it comes in.

Please let it be Alice Barry ("Lillian" from Shameless). We've got to campaign to get her on the Street somehow!!!
Wouldn't that be fantastic?!?!
Connie? Wasn't she one of the Claytons, the Duckworths' enemies?
Could be interesting if Jack didn't recognise her and then found out after dating her. She could've remarried
Anthony Cotton's real mum could play her, she'd be good!
