Stay overnight on the Coronation Street set with AirBnB

Coronation Street is offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay overnight on the cobbles

Guests can stay overnight on the Corrie set in a new pop-up house The Rovers’ Annexe and tuck into a hotpot.

For one night only, Coronation Street will open the cobbles to two guests, giving fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in the iconic location and adopt the Rovers Return as their next door neighbour for the night.

The self-contained pop-up house, with its red-brick faรงade and double-glazed windows, will be situated next door to the Rovers Return. During the stay guests will be taken on a private tour of the set  followed by a hotpot dinner from the annexe whilst watching classic Corrie episodes, and if they’re lucky, a pint in the Rovers and breakfast from Roy’s Rolls may be on offer.

Although interiors will be closed, guests will be able to wander around Coronation, Rosamund and Victoria Street to their heart's content. They can even have a stroll down the ginnel.

The specially constructed temporary annexe has been kitted out in classic Coronation Street style, taking inspiration from the Rovers Return B&B decor.

Guests will enjoy a comfortable living area to relax in, with homage to Jenny Connor’s wood panelling and patterned wallpaper. The living room has a dining table where guests can sit and enjoy their hotpot.

The adjoining twin bedroom provides a comfy bedding and prime Weatherfield views.

At the centre of the living area guests will find a TV set up with hours’ worth of the most loved Coronation Street episodes from over the years.

Head of Continuing Drama John Whiston says: “What fan of Coronation Street hasn't had a dream where you find themself transported into the show itself, wandering around the houses of your best loved characters. I certainly have. This unique stay gives you the chance to do just that, stay the night and wake up right next to the Rovers Return. What better way to celebrate Britain opening up again than your very own staycation on the nation's favourite Street?”

Amanda Cupples, General Manager for Northern Europe at Airbnb comments:  Being the first people ever to stay on the nation’s most loved street is a dream come true for any Corrie fan and a once in a lifetime way to spend time with a friend or family member.”

House Rules:
- No pets allowed
- Maximum two guests
- No smoking
- Picture in front of the local pub encouraged
- Hotpot for tea non-negotiable
- Sensible shoes advised, note cobbles are slippery when wet

The Rovers’ Annexe sleeps a maximum of two guests and is available to book for one night only of 2 October 2021 for just £60 (fee donated to charity). Airbnb reviews will be taken into consideration.

ITV anticipates a very high level of interest and will be adding the available booking date at 1pm BST on Wednesday 26 May. Looks fantastic, but only one night available? If they had done this as a raffle type thing they would have raised way more than £60! Lucky person, whoever gets to go.

So it's no even a prize draw, it's just the person with the fastest Internet connection who gets there first?

Must admit, a night in a shed with no bathroom in the middle of a filming lot in October doesn't sound like the best night's sleep I could imagine.

It's not fair, I would love to have done this but am discriminated against because of fastest finger first.

It's not disabled friendly accommodation either, is it?
So, if you're a disabled Corrie fan and would love to book this, you can't, as the accommodation isn't suitable for your needs.
Er- isn't that discrimination?

There's only one room for one night. When it's gone it's gone. Nearly everyone is discriminated against when trying to apply for it. As the saying goes. They're can only be one winner

Podcasts is not deaf friendly, but majority of the readers are not deaf so they just ignore the discrimination. That's life, and we just accept it.
