This... this is an absolute joy. We saw it live, right in front of our eyes, in the Lass O'Gowrie pub in Manchester back in 2013 and I can honestly say it was one of the best nights of my Corrie-watching life.
Please watch, it's amazing and now available for the first time to watch, in full, on YouTube.
In conjunction with ITV, and raising funds for Myeloma UK, stage adaptations of two Jack Rosenthal episodes of Coronation Street from 1986 in 2012 were staged in the Lass O'Gowrie pub in Manchester.
In 2013, time moved on to 1977, and this pair of episodes (by HV Kershaw and John Stevenson) centered around Annie Walker's new acquisition - a monogrammed carpet. Annie's so delighted, she decides to throw a sherry party to celebrate. But Annie's in for a shock - the carpet may not be all it seems...
Performed live in the Lass O'Gowrie Pub, Manchester. What's On Stage called the performances 'unmissable' and we are delighted to bring you this treat from the archive to enjoy once more.
