Coronation Street came away with the award for Best Soap in this year's British Soap Awards.
Also Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt won two awards. One was for Best Female Dramatic Performance.
And the other was for Best Actress.
Connor McIntyre (Pat Phelan) won the award for Best Villain.
Jack P Shepherd (David Platt) won the award for Best Actor.
And Kieran Roberts, who has recently left the show as its Executive Producer, was awarded the Tony Warren Award for Special Achievement.
Well done to them all!

Despite my criticisms of various storylines, this is great news! Well done and congratulations to them all.
Agree with Humpty. I would, have liked to see Helen Flanagan nominated for Best Comedy Performance. Can someone please explain the difference between Best Actress and Best Female Performance?
Yay! And congrats to Corrie and all the winners. I thought everyone looked gorgeous!
Its a shame the team only had 30 seconds to say a proper thanks for the Best Soap award. One of the Cagney & Lacey presenters wasted several minutes beforehand interrupting the other one with silly inanities. Even Helen Worth graciously commented on the short time they had left.
Kate Oates, you will be missed!
@Tashacat My guess is Best Performance is recognition for a particular scene (or storyline?). Whereas, Best Actor/Actress is for the entire season.
