Cheryl leaving in a blaze of glory?

Holly Quin-Ankrah was on This Morning er.. this morning and let a little cat out of the bag regarding the departure of her character, Cheryl (along with on screen ex Chris and son Russ). We knew they were leaving, and, judging from comments on this blog, the ongoing exit storyline surrounding Chris' brain tumour doesn't seem to be keeping folk rivetted to the screen. Digital Spy reports that Holly let slip that her character's exit will be preceded by a fire though Cheryl will not be harmed. She says it's exciting and dramatic.

That's all she had to say but I suspect Chris will be involved, maybe trying to eliminate Lloyd, his rival. I know that Craig Charles is taking some time off to film a new series of Red Dwarf but I don't think he's being killed off. Perhaps Lloyd will be injured and laid up for awhile? Number 13 was only just rebuilt after the fire post-tram crash, would they really burn that again? And the only other places I can think of might be the Bistro (cloud of doom over the viaduct?) or the cab office.

And why does it *always* have to be a dramatic exit? Why can't Cheryl reconcile with Chris and all three of them go off in the traditional black cab, leaving Lloyd broken hearted? How do you think this could play out?

She's leaving. That's enough.

I think if I heard correctly Holly said the fire involves one of the Streetcars cabs.

Why can't Cheryl and Chris leave together? 'cos he is an unprincipled creep that is plotting to break up his ex-partners relationship with Saint Lloyd. Let him burn, I say!

I hope the cab office goes up in flames - it so needs a reno and Brenda would have a wonderful story to tell us all about it! :)

The cab office can't burn down - Steve would be heartbroken to lose his chair in there. Can see him and Lloyd running in through the flames just to drag it out.

EE is having a fire too..Xmas time and Fat Pat bites the dust. What is it with fires? How about Lloyd drowns in the tub or summat?

Even a fire cant make this story or this family interesting. Couldnt care less how they go as long as they do, they could just "disappear" and nobody would notice or care.
