I have to jump in here and say how much I enjoyed Monday's double episodes of Corrie.
It had humour, weirdness, jealousy, romance, cheeky flirting and foreboding of things to come. Even though Corrie does drama and tragedy, and occasionally pyrotechnics, quite well, there's nothing like the everyday slices of life that keep us all coming back and that's what we had on Monday this week.
I've blogged it in more detail over yonder, do jump in with your thoughts.

Corrie is far the best soap for comedy/pathos. Its spoiled for me sometimes unfortunately by sloppy writing and unbelievable storylines far removed from real life; the Gail/Joe/Tracyluv travesty as an example and now the Nick Nick fiasco.
Very good synopsis;I had picked out the same things that didn't quite add up, again...
I suppose the writers try their best, but it's been no use for a long time trying to make sense of many of the things that are said and done.
I don't think we're meant to question the often far-fetched and fast moving story lines.
There's no comparison to the 'old days' of Corrie when viewer ratings and fierce competition with other soaps didn't rule.
There has definitely been an improvment in the dialogue over the past few weeks IMHO - and Mary's scenes last night were Corrie at it's best - witty and surreal. Still don't understand how Norris has completely forgotten what she did in the Lakes though.
