There's a newspaper report today that implies that Sarah Platt will be returning by year's end. They're saying Tina O'Brien is ready to come back to work. But here's the read-between-the-lines bit... allegedly an insider reveals that "the actress has told pals she's ready to get back to work - with Corrie being her top option."
Now, I don't know about you, but to me that says she'd like to come back but hasn't necessarily been asked yet. It goes on to say that Tina isn't 100% sure she wants to come back (persuade me!). The actress was only seen in a panto just after her departure but got pregnant soon after so could not accept any roles. Will Sarah come back? Will she bring Bethany? Will she woo Jason back if she does return? Will she lose hanks of hair in a girl fight with Tina, J's new squeeze? Time will tell.
Would you like to see her return?

I'd like Sarah and Bethany back because they haven't met Ted yet. The more stories Ted is a part of, the better!
I hope not, I can't stand her
I'd love her to return and fight Tina for Jason. Not that he's worth fighting for, but still, it'd be good to have her back. I always liked the character.
Absolutely not, cant stand the adenoidal whiner. Same old, want to leave, cant get any other work then expect to be taken back. How many times can Jason be expected to take her back as well? Stay in Milan Sarah!
Oh, women are always fighting over a man, and it's always a booby prize.
I'm torn. I liked her on the show and was sad to see her leave, but I've gotten over her now.
So I'm indifferent I suppose.
I agree, I think SHE wants back on the Street, and it's probably not in the story-writer's plans. Too bad Tina O'Brien never got any work after. I know she had a baby and all, but let's be honest, I don't think she'd have done much better than her role on Corrie. IMHO. Although, I could eat my words, since I'm flabbergasted at how great Bradley Walsh (Danny Baldwin) is in Law & Order UK. So maybe she could do better than Corrie?
I'm with Tracyluv!
No, I wouldn't like to see Sarah back - Tina O'Brien can't act to save her life.
And I definitely wouldn't want to see the child who played Bethany back - she was even worse.
lol, that kid who played Bethany was terrible. To give her some credit though, it's a challenge to be an actress with no lines! I don't think I ever heard her speak.
I absolutely love it when we hear this kind of thing... when an ex-soap star says they are "ready to come back", or "would love to return"... it's agent talk for "My client has no work at the moment, or at least nothing as lucrative as Corrie... can you take her back please?"
So many younger actors leave thinking that they'll walk into the West End or other major TV projects... it RARELY happens and when they've given it their best shot and are fed up, they want to come back.
Truth is... working on Corrie must be fairly mundane.. come in to work, get made up and changed, go onto the set, say your lines... go home. It's the hoohah surrounding the programme that's glamourous, not the work itself. It is, however, well-paid, high-profile regular work and the only sacrifice is privacy.
I would love to see her back- She's a very talented actress and corrie hasn't been the same ince she left.
PLEASE COME BACK TINA!!!
funny how some of the girls on here don't want to see her return.
She obviously could act and all thelads I know think she's gorgeous!
GET SARAH BACK!
she's soooo fit.
Jon.
Please, please, please, don't bring Sarah back.Is Rosie not enough in one street?
I think the return of Ex actresses is great.
To see how things hit off between tina and her would be good. and the history with david. They seemed to hate each other. Her oldest brother nick is supposed to be returning.
I'd love her to return and fight Tina, just to see the fight. Two hotttttttttt actresses going at each other -- can we have a whole episode of it? Please?
i'd like to see sarah back. It's nice when previous people return.
