The Lancashire Evening Post report that Hutton and Penwortham Funeral Services Ltd were asked to appear in the Corrie funeral scene. Previously, they have presided over the death of Katy Harris and handled the funeral of Ray Langton who died in 2005.
Company owner Neal Buckley said: "When there is a funeral they get in touch, and we have done them in the past. But it is sometimes a bit difficult because they are filming to a schedule. When it was Fred Elliott they wanted four days one week and three the next – we had to turn it down, but we were free this time because it was only a day-and-a-half for 30 seconds screen time. They (the staff) enjoyed it – it is one of those things I suppose for them to do now and again, is a nice experience. The crew can pick our brains on what we do. They try to get things right."
