News reaches the blog that there's going to be another Coronation Street spin-off for DVD, this time set in Romania. I've read the press release, I've seen the official site, and the news doesn't fill this Corrie fan with glee. I still haven't been tempted to watch Corrie's Out of Africa DVD, it's been sitting by the telly for months.The only good thing about this new DVD is that Roy and Hayley Cropper are in it. Roy, Hayley and Becky in Romania? I'm not so sure about that! I have the south Africa dvd and i liked it, as a stand alone bit of a romp. It's typical Cilla and it does what it says on the box, basically. Has there ever been a spin off that was really, really fab?
I think it will be great, it'll be good to see an episode/film just focused on the Croppers, they're comedy gold :D
Brilliant news isn't it.... a whole special with the annoyingly under-used Croppers! If they get the right writer, it'll be a winner....

Annie i do agree that it will be nice to see the Croppers on their own but with only Becky as a foil, I'm just not sure. Will await your info!

I know what you're saying about spinoffs, but I think the proof of the pudding will be the skills of the actors they cast as the foils to R & H.... and it'll be nice to see them as a couple again for a while, rather than just Becky's surrogate Mum and Dad, or just generally supporting the other cast members.
I wonder if the storyline will be that they go there to adopt a child?
Nope... nothing to do with kids.
It all sounds fairly good, actually... filming starts in a couple of weeks and the script is apparently pretty good.... we'll see how it turns out :)
