Conversation Street Podcast Episode #550

In this edition of the podcast, we chat about what went down in Weatherfield between the 23rd and the the 27th November (Episodes #10801 - 10806).

This week, Hope takes hero worshipping of her serial killer dad to the next level as she attempts to re-enact Charlotte Hoyle's murder by hammer at school. Meanwhile, as Sam comes face to face with Harvey to give him a good grilling, will he get the answers he's looking for? Also this week, Griff enlists Spider to protest Maria's community centre takeover, Summer plans to go on the run to keep her pregnancy under wraps (and we heartily approve!) and an old flames barges her way back into Ken's life.

We had a couple of news items to discuss in The Kabin, including Sue Cleaver's exit from the jungle and Charlie Lawson's comments that Corrie could be axed within the next ten years - do we agree? We finish things off with a couple of your lovely emails.

Ten years ago this week, we ran a character profile on Fiz Stape on Episode #16 of the podcast. Well, it's been an explosive ten years for our little Fizbomb since, and in this week's bonus podcast, we take a look at how her story has progressed in the past decade, including her relationships with Tyrone and Phill, her struggle keeping Hope under control and the shock of coming face to face with John Stape's secret daughter, Jade!

Could it be axed? Of course it can. Roy Barraclough (Alec Gilroy) said the same thing ten years ago...and y'know what? He was right...the old Corrie is gone and in it's place we have a clone of some American program...slick, suspending belief is prerequisite..in short...NOT worth watching anymore. Fifty years of great television has spoiled me for this "fast food" soap opera
